Professional Tree Evaluation & Consultation
Professional tree care begins with understanding the entire property, not just the trees. Tree Brothers charges a $99.99 consultation fee to visit your property, evaluate your trees and surrounding landscape, and provide professional recommendations based on tree health, safety, structure, soil conditions, drainage, and other environmental factors.
When appropriate, soil samples may be recommended to better understand soil composition, nutrient availability, pH, and conditions affecting root health. Water movement through the soil is also an important part of the evaluation. Proper water percolation is essential for optimal moisture uptake by tree roots, while poor drainage or compacted soil can contribute to stress and declining tree health.
Our consultations are designed to help dial in the overall conditions of your property so your trees and landscape have the best opportunity to thrive. The consultation fee covers the time and expertise required to perform a thorough evaluation and provide practical recommendations for pruning, removal, treatment, soil improvement, irrigation, drainage, or other appropriate care.

Meet Dusty Medcalf
Dusty Medcalf, owner of Tree Brothers Texas, has built his career in arboriculture from the ground up, gaining more than a decade of hands-on experience in professional tree care.
He began as a groundsman in 2013 and quickly advanced to bucket operation. In 2014, Dusty joined Advanced Tree Care, where he had the opportunity to work under the guidance of a Board Certified Master Arborist and Registered Consulting Arborist. That experience helped shape his knowledge, work ethic, and practical approach to caring for trees and helping property owners make informed decisions.
Over the years, Dusty has handled nearly every aspect of professional tree care, from complex crane-assisted removals and technical pruning to tree health evaluations, diagnostics, and long-term care recommendations. He has continued to expand his knowledge with a focus on doing every job safely, correctly, and in the best interest of both the customer and their trees.
In 2025, Dusty earned his ISA Certified Arborist credential. Throughout his career, he has also benefited from the guidance of experienced Master Arborists and Certified Arborists who have helped him continue growing in the profession.
Tree Brothers Texas is more than a business to Dusty. A major motivation for starting the company was his desire to build something lasting that could help provide for and protect his brothers, Tanner and Ryan, if anything ever happened that left them needing his support. Tanner, 14, and Ryan, 25, are an important part of Dusty's life, and the three brothers share an especially close bond. That commitment to family is reflected in the company name and in the values behind the business.
Dusty is known for his honesty, transparency, and strong work ethic. He believes customers deserve straightforward answers and practical recommendations, even when that means telling someone a tree does not need work or that a less expensive solution is the better choice. His goal is to build long-term relationships based on trust rather than simply sell a service.
Outside of work, Dusty enjoys spending time with his family, riding side-by-sides and motocross.
